My game is also an ARRRRGGGG MATEY SHIVER ME TIMBERS copy in version 1.67 so this has nothing to do with the whole Origin/EA app stuff.Įdit: I've also tried playing the game without the documents folder to see if it had anything to do with the directory instead since I have the smooth patch and shader tweaks in there, but no go. An interesting thing to note also is that Nraas ErrorTrap/Overwatch (or whichever of their mods do this) doesn't warn me that there's a third-party program in my Bin file anymore, which happens during normal startup. Has this problem ever happened to anyone? Is there a solution?Īdditional info: I initially thought that the latest Smooth Patch update was causing this since this problem started ever since I installed the updated mod, but it apparently isn't. The game was working fine! Now this would be a satisfying solution to my problem but I refuse to play my game without my mods. Finally, I moved the resource.cfg file out of the mods folder and onto my desktop. I tried the half-and-half method on my packages folder, didn't work. I did a lot trial-and-error-ing and came to the conclusion it has something to do with the mods folder. So my game keeps crashing after I reinstalled it on my computer.
